Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an energizing, welcoming weekend adults’ street dance camp in High Wycombe. The format throughout the camp is a high-energy group warmup, followed by several 90-minute workshops teaching different street dance styles, then an hour-long freestyle session to demonstrate new moves. Participants are divided into levels based on ability and experience, so it is suitable for those who are completely new to popping and locking, all the way to experienced performers or teachers. The camp does not provide accommodation but there are a number of hostels and hotels nearby, and it is 23-35 minutes by rail into central London.

Maritime Singing Break in St Ives

St Ives is the excellent setting for a maritime music retreat. Participants will learn historic sailing songs from a folk singer and vocal coach, and try their hand at composing original ones. There will be vocal warmups, breathing exercises, stagecraft advice and a final evening concert. The holiday is based at a country house overlooking St Ives Bay. All meals are provided, such as a Cornish cream tea on arrival, breakfast options, lunches to go and evening meals. Grog, unfortunately, is not included. Creative Writing in Greece

Writer and lecturer an experienced instructor runs the regular sessions on this writing retreat. He covers everything from story structure, characters, setting and suspense, to sending manuscripts to agents. Greg’s wife, the well-known writer Kate Mosse, will co-host special sessions at the start and finish of the week. The retreat is based at a village-style hotel in Vamos at the base of the White mountains – ten one- and two-bedroom cottages are set around a central garden with a pool (non-writing partners are welcome to share). The Centre for Alternative Technology near Machynlleth runs a host of courses covering sustainability: from wildlife gardening to upcycling. This two-day course will help participants get to grips with the fundamentals of beekeeping, explore the life cycle of honeybees and learn about their ecological importance. It is aimed at produce “bee-friendly beekeepers”. The weekend is also a opportunity to de-stress in the centre's carefully maintained forests, which are home to polecats, otters, dormice, lesser horseshoe bats and uncommon bird species. Bed and breakfast the night before is 80 pounds, and all meals and lodging for the weekend is 97 pounds.
