The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts impressive social media presence
Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile supporters when she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates several golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in only three events recently and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.
But she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive human being. He told me to play, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
Kai will face several the biggest names in professional golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly with younger fans.
Kai boasts a massive following and just introduced her own fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
